Actually I have to say that was pretty painless and not very time consuming. It was for a unit in a newer condo development that still has 17 new/never occupied units. The BPO is for a short sale so obviously a preowned unit will not sell for the same as a never occupied unit.

I would have to say it probably took me an hour and a half all together. I definitley would not mind doing more. Especially if they keep me in mind for REO listings down the road.

i have to admit I was a little nervous when I sent it in, since obviously the goal for them is to have the information in hand without any furthur information needed. so after they sent me the accepted notice I was pretty relieved.

Well here's to trying something new and learning some new tricks along the way.

I usually do a couple each week and I have gotten the system down to where it is pretty fast.

Congrats on doing your first BPO Andrew just get prepared when they send you 5 BPO's at a time. Of course you don't have to accept them all.

Congratulations! I just signed up with probably 20 or more companies over the past two days. I am either too new or in a highly saturated area. Good deal on having your very first one accepted.

You are smart to diversify. The key to havng long term success, in any type of sales, is to have many different contacts and ways to earn income.

As an appraiser, I do not like the idea of agent paid BPO's. I would like to see Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice applied to all paid opinions of value. That is OK!
