3 Weeks Away Until Clarksville Downtown Market Opens
It seems the market opens later and later each year. For 2018, the opening day is on Memorial Day Weekend, May 26. This is not soon enough for me. Produce is coming into the local stores but we will have to wait for the familiar vendors to come to the Clarksville Downtown Market. This is an outdoor market held on Public Square. Once it opens it will continue on most Saturdays until mid-October. The opening time is 8am to midday.
There are an abundance of different items available each week and vendors can change week to week. You will find fresh produce, handmade crafts and eat food products or fresh baked goodies provided by the selected vendors. I know several of the vendors and look forward to their goods.
Musical artists are invited to perform and offer free entertainment to the open market fevent. The Clarksville Downtown Market this has grown over the years and been the winner of many awards over the years.
Food trucks offer freshly prepared foods and will be serving the moment the market opens. Parking is free on downtown streets and many of the vendors now take credit cards.
