So far, Lenn and I are the only 400,000 pointers in Dem Dare a lot of points Hall of Fame. I congratulated Lenn, the first member, and she congratulated me, the second member. And Neal Bloom founded the various x00,000 point clubs. I was fortunate to meet Neal at the first Florida Active Rain gathering.
At each membership club level, Neal asks us to post how we got there. Or perhaps - why we got there.
Neither Lenn nor I are point-seekers. They just happen. As I said in my response to Lenn's blogpost:
Generalities - it may be ironic, but neither Lenn nor I blog for points, and neither of us keeps particular count. We do what's in us to do, and what comes, comes. We care about our clients, we care about our colleagues, we care about our industry. We care about raising the bar, we care about excellent service.
In addition, we both obviously like to write and like to share. We don't just write posts, we comment a lot. We research a lot, and we continue to try to be better Realtors and better people. Bryant Tutas, Randy Prothero and Scott Daniels are close behind us and will soon be members of this group.
I've enjoyed reading all their blogs and have learned from all of them. I've had the pleasure of meeting Bryant and Randy and can assure you, they are as real and transparent, caring and giving, in person as they are on Active Rain.
Kudos should go mostly to Active Rain, its founders, its staff, and yes, its members, for creating these opportunities for us, for encouraging us, and for giving far more than they get. There's a wealth of information here on Active Rain. Search for topics, search for individuals, and go back through posts written over the last two years. Many great people-bloggers-leaders-toppers have come and gone and sometimes return. We are what we are because of all those who came before us, and we stand on their shoulders.
Hopefully all of you will stand on our shoulders, and surpass us, and make the industry and its people better than ever before.
Yeah, the points are great. However, since joining AR in the fall of 2006, my business has blossumed or should I say has exploded. The AR Gods need "Indiana Jones" accolades.
