This is my very first Blog.  I thought I would make it light and funny.  I'm in the state of Georgia, where the foreclosure rate is high and the number of people wanting to become real estate agents is too.  I recently mailed my New Year mailings to past clients, and was happy to her from one.  I thought to myself, keeping in contact with past clients is the way to go.  I returned her call.  I started to get excited, because I thought she wanted me to list one of her rental properties.  We talked about the kids, talked about the weather, and then it came.

Client:  What school did you go to for real estate?  I am going to ------ school and I am going to take my test tomorrow.  Is it hard?  How many times did you have to take the test?

I should have known.  It never fells every-time I get a call from someone I haven't heard from in years, they want to know what school I went to so they can become a real estate agent.  And of course, I tell them and think to myself, "Good Luck."

Hi Taurus,

Your post is funny.  I used to get asked this question ALOT the past few years, but now with all the doom and gloom that the media is spewing about real estate, I don't seem to hear this question much.  Hmmmm....

I have given a lot of information to people about real estate schools.  h good news is:  Taurus, you've been asked because you've proven yourself to this past customer.  You must be doing it right because they want to go to the school that you went to.  Way to go!

Yes, it seems a lot of people have thought about going into real estate at one time or another.  You must be doing something right or people wouldn't ask.

Keep them in your SOI, the statistics of failing agents is high. They will soon give it up and call you for your services again. Do not stop marketing to them.
