Atlanta MLS homes for sale inventory. 

Active Atlanta MLS listings in the Atlanta Metro area hit a high today of 88491 listings.  That must be an all time record for listed Atlanta real estate in our First Multiple Listing Service - FMLS.  Atlanta real estate sales are slowing and inventory rises because of the slowing sales.  It is an accumulative effect, softening home sales, foreclosures all add to the increasing inventory.  The lack of a robust real estate market nationally also translated into fewer home sales here in the Atlanta area despite reasonable Atlanta home prices.  If a person cannot sell a home in Boston, New York, Chicago, Florida or California, they cannot afford to buy a home in Atlanta.
