Pure Florida announces exclusive special events for CityFest in downtown Naples
Edison History Cruise, Mother’s Day “SEAS” CityFest, Bark on the Ark and Kids Science Cruise events available May 4 through May 13

Naples, Fla. (April 20, 2018) – Pure Florida will celebrate CityFest in downtown Naples with unique events offered to the public from Friday, May 4 to Sunday, May 13. Special water adventures include the Edison History Cruise in partnership with the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, Science Cruise for Kids in partnership with Super Science & Amazing Art and Bark on the Ark, the first dog-friendly cruise offered by Pure Florida at its Naples location. All Pure Florida CityFest events depart their dock at Tin City Waterside Shops, 1200 Fifth Ave. S. Reservations are required. A new event, exclusive to CityFest is the Edison History Cruise. This 2.5 hour eco-sightseeing and history cruise departs from Tin City in Downtown Naples aboard the M/V Edison Explorer Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, May 6 at 10 a.m. Cruising with guests will be the Edison & Ford Winter Estates’ very own Edison Ford historian. Guests will enjoy stories about the Edisons in southwest Florida while cruising the northern 10,000 islands. Each participant will also receive a small gift bag from the Edison & Ford Winter Estates. Cost for adults is $45 and children $22.50.

Bark on the Ark departs Tin City Saturday, May 5 at 9 a.m. aboard the M/V Edison Explorer. This 3 hour event is normally offered every third Saturday between October and May in Fort Myers and makes its debut in Naples for CityFest. Guests will cruise to Keewaydin Island and enjoy playtime with their canine friends. Pure Florida provides water, tennis balls, waste bags and treats for all the dogs. Well-trained, kind dogs are welcome aboard. One dog per ticket. Cost is $54 per person. Cruise time is 3 hours.







During CityFest, the Science Cruise for Kids with Mr. Glen from Super Science & Amazing Art, will kick off the 2018 Kids Cruise Free Summer Science program on Saturday May 5 departing at 10 a.m. from Tin City in downtown Naples. Parents and their children will experience an educationally entertaining cruise that includes science experiments and demonstrations about the properties of water, air and weather, whether it rains or shines. Once the show is over, families can enjoy sightseeing aboard the M/V Double Sunshine. The 90 minute cruise heads out to the Gulf of Mexico through Gordon’s Pass to tour past Keewaydin Island and Port Royal homes with hopes of catching glimpses of the wildlife that calls southwest Florida home. Child admission is free with full-fare paid adult admission. Adults are $39 and additional children are $19.50. The Kid Cruise Free program cannot be combined with any other discount offer.

In addition, Pure Florida will offer special “SEAS” CityFest sailings with $25 Sightseeing Cruises aboard the M/V Double Sunshine during Mother’s Day weekend.. The discounted adult tickets are offered Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13 for the 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. cruises. The 90 minute cruise departs from Tin City in downtown Naples and heads out to the Gulf of Mexico through Gordon’s Pass to tour past Keewaydin Island and Port Royal homes with hopes of catching a glimpses of the wildlife that calls southwest Florida home.
