This is not only the first major holiday weekend od 2008, we also have the NBA playoffs this weekend. So as members of the Real Estate community in a recovering market we have to ask oueselves how do best spend our time. I know there is a very strong temptation to kick back, throw a few slabs or hot dogs on the grill and down a few cool ones. A case could be made that no one is out house shopping this weekend. After all we need to refresh ourselves.
The other side of the coin is there will be a lot of people out visiting friends and family members. The increased traffic will create enormous opportunities for people to satisfy thir curiosity about what is available. After all they can stop and spend a few minutes to look. With all the inventory that is out here this is an excellent time to hold an Open House or two. make sure you get a lot of signs with flags and balloons to attract attention. done correctly, you could have a lot more money to take some time earned time off later in the year.
