15 Comments on What makes up a good Electrical System in a home/ Claremont, New Hampshire

Dale, I've recently had a few home inspections done and each one that had a 100 amp service panel, the inspector recommended an upgrade to 200 amps.  One I understood, because the AC unit was drawing 60 amps...the other a plain ordinary swamp cooler.  What gives?

Great info for the consumer - Dale!  I doubt many folks have an idea of what a good electrical system consists of (I know I didn't) ... but this post should give them a few pointers!  JENNIFER

Howdy Kent

Glad to see ya, my friend.

I reckon, the truth of this here matter is when I was a writing this post. I was thinken of this area.

Most of this here area folk's don't have or use, Air Conditioner's, and ya just don't see Swamp Cooler's here.

When I first got up in these part's, I asked my lady why none of the Mobile Home's didn't have a Swamp Cooler on them. She had no idea what I was talking about. So I had to explain to her, what they where, how they worked, and what they did.

I know about them from living down in Florida, working on Mobile Home's and moving them and seting them up in Colorado, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming many many moon's ago.

Well I reckon, I best add 100 amps is considered a minimal service, so folk's in other area's don't wonder what is a goen on.

Sorry for maken ya wonder about what gives, my friend.

Please forgive me, for doing so.

God Bless The U.S.A.

Howdy Jennifer

Thank ya kindly for stopping by to visit.

I have made a couple changes in this post for folk's.

Like most area's in the country this is considered a minimal Electrical service System. That a 200 amp would be better to have.

Thank ya for finding this post, to be good reading.

God Bless The U.S.A.

Thanks for getting back to me on the 100 amp question, Dale.  We've got quite a few homes here that utilize both AC & swamp coolers:  the swamp's more efficient in the heat & helps humidify the house some, but won't work when the humidity goes up in our "Monsoon" season--that's when the AC makes living in the desert more pleasant!

Howdy Brenda

Glad to see you, and have you leave a comment as you always do.

I have also been getting a late start in the community lately, my lady and I have been looking at some homes. We are going to be buying one very soon.

Brenda - my friend it was not you, it was Active Rain. What was going on last night, was also going on a few months ago.

I keeped geting loged out of the community. The bug that does this well sometimes make your comment to folk's look like you where not loged in when you made the comment.

And not let you have your points for making the comment.
