Suggestion for an ActiveRain Challenge
ActiveRain Ambassador Debe Maxwell has challenged blogger members to submit their best ideas for an ActiveRain challenge or contest. My suggested challenge could be used at any time of the year and would help members develop a positive daily habit.
Topic Idea: Daily reblogs.
The Challenge: Post 30 reblogs during the month on a minimum of 20 different days. My normal practice is to schedule reblogs in advance. The scheduling feature does work.
Topic Summary: Reblogs provide an easy way to pay it forward and to share well written or interesting blog posts of others. The blogger receives points for a daily reblog and the original blogger also receives points as well as additional exposure for the content. The top three members on the Leaderboard post daily reblogs but the majority of member bloggers have not yet developed this habit. An additional benefit is that members also receive points for comments on the reblogs. If desired, reblogs can be posted for 'Members Only' when you do not want the public to see the reblog content.
Learning Opportunity: Participants will learn how to reblog and the activity will encourage members to seek daily reblog opportunities. And, learning how to use the scheduling feature is an additional benefit. Most of my blogs are scheduled in advance.
Points Reward: I suggest a reward of 3,000 points for members who complete this challenge.
