Here is test one of the Flip Video Camera. I shot a Video Blog of my Green Screen Studio so people can see how wasy and inexpensive it is to set up.
Those of you that have seen my blog posts about my camcorder stabilizer will know how spoiled I am when I shoot with my Mini DV camcorder. The Flip Video Camera puts me back to hand held mode and I have to be careful to make sure I can keep the shakes to a minimum.
I shot this sequence 6 times to get the time as short as possible. The original Flip file was 35 megabytes. I imported the file into Adobe Premiere Elements to add the titles and after it was re-rendered at 640 X 480 WMV and it came out at 12.2 megabytes. The quality on my computer screen is crystal clear at 640x480, but youtube butchers the quality on the upload. I uploaded to vimeo so you can see the real quality of the picture vimeo. I love vimeo hosting, but youtube I think has better google juice.
I embedded both youtube and vimeo so you can compare. My next post will cover the upload and editing features of the FLIP's own onboard software.

Ted, I'll be doing my first video interview next Tuesday. Trying to decide whether or not to get the FLIP or use my camcorder or just do an informal video off of my Kodak V705. I am beginning to dislike technology. Too time consuming! :-)
Ted - Thanks for sharing. I like the contrast of the vimeo and the youtube. Of course, we're curious now to see what video magic comes from the green screen. I think I have seen some of your green screen magic in the past.
I will agree with Irina a little bit in that it's time consuming. But I'm sure once you nail it down the first couple of times, it gets easier and easier. Doesn't it?
Scott,
If you are a parent then there is agood chance you already have a Video camera (Digital?) and a tripod. So all you really need is a sheet, some lights and the software. I really stress to get Adobe over the other products. Adobe has been doing this for years and is the choice of the serious.
Amazon has the Adobe Premiere Elements Bundle and Photoshop Bundle with a $30.00 rebate. $89.00 for both after rebate. I think Photoshop alone is a must have for Realtors.

I have not used the green screen as much as I thought I would. It still is worth having and as I keep going I know that it will be very good for certain things.
Thanks for sharing, Im a Keller Williams Success Coach and want to start focusing on video links,
