Gas prices keeping you home?

I am curious how many of  you have revised your travel or vacation plans, or how your business is effected (driving around buyers and lookey-loo's) due to gas prices, not to mention the ridiculous fees being imposed on airline travelers.

Voice your opinion about gas prices on the rise - let's hear how it's effecting you, if at all!

Hi Kristi- We are staying home but it is only because there is so much to do here this weekend. We have our annual Azalea Festival all weekend. I just got back from a 2 week vacation and possibly might be leaving for 2 weeks in June. Hasn't slowed me down...but something needs to give soon or it will begin to effect traveling for sure!

I rarely travel on Memorial Day, so it didn't change my plans, but it might have if we had plans to drive anywhere.

I had a blog with the same ???. Although a lot of people change a little... It's surprising how many people don't change at all and how much we all still drive. If everyone quit driving or atleast drove as little as possible I think we would see a drop in prices, but if we keep buying it's never going to stop!!

UPDATE:  I heard on the news that in this region, there were no traffic-accident-related deaths over the weekend. I have to think this statistic is due to alot less people were on the road this weekend, mainly due to gas prices.

I went camping this weekend near Olympia, Washington. The gas prices kept rising as we drove across the state toward Seattle. In Olympia, the price was $4.29 for regular. One of the stations we stopped at limited the fillup to $75. Hmmmm That's fine, it got us closer to home where gas is only $3.99 (ONLY!)!

We are buying a new (used) compact car tomorrow and getting rid of one of our SUV's.  $120 to fill up just hurts too much!

You are right.  I love my car and enjoy driving it.  However, I think really hard about the importance of every excursion.
