Now any of you who consider yourselves real movie aficionados will remember with fondness those two familiar phrases, 'previews of coming attractions' and 'selected short subjects'!

After all, who didn't like to see snippets of those movies just coming out or those old funny cartoons or news reels or short sports filmettes...

 

Well, in keeping with that time honored tradition on 'my blog'...I am 'warning' my readers and subscribers of things to come on Active Fran's blog!!!

Very soon right here on this blog will be a post on 'Flat Stanley'...this will be a 'joint venture' with my just turned 8 year old daughter Emily...some of you may remember reading about Emily and her exploits at work with Dad!

Of course there will be the ongoing saga of Justin, my 11 year old son and his quest to 'nail down' and 'mortgage' a laptop deal!!!

I'm always encouraging my other children to think about 'guest blogging'...I think it would be good for them, good for me, good for my readers, and good for our Active Rain Community! If you've never read any guest blogs by kids, make your way over to Todd Clark's blog and Brad Andersohn's blog for some great kids guest posts!!!

So stay tuned, keep your fingers crossed that Active Rain's new servers and equipment work as promised to make Active Rain and Active Fran's Blog an even greater place to visit!!!

The possibilties are endless- I am sure my 5 grandkids will want to weigh in as well! Molly, my 7 year old grand daughter is reading 'Flat Stanley' now and Daniele read it a couple years ago- I will have them check out- Emily's Blog.

I'm with you...in the 'old days' there were about 20 minutes to a half hour devoted to newsreels, cartoons, coming attractions, etc...I almost looked forward to these as much as the main movie!!! :) Thanks,   Fran
