About 6 months ago I made a change in offices. I think the biggest reason was that I was just looking for a change.  I am sure many have experienced that feeling one or twice in their life. One great thing about being Self Employed is the opportunity to be able to makes changes.

We moved here about 2 years ago now and I can frankly say, "I love the High Country of Western North Carolina."

So Why ECHOTA and Foscoe Realty. Echota is in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is blessed with some absolutely stunning views. This region, the North Carolina High Country, is a growing destination of choice for vacationers and retirees. The 400 families who have discovered what a special place Echota is indeed.

I have found Echota to be special in many ways. I love the people, the positive energy as well as incredible property and ammenities. The community's clubhouse, exercise facility, health spa and indoor pool accentuate the air of comfort and relaxation found in this special place...

The land surrounding ECHOTA has been environmentally preserved with a private conservation area.

Experience the heart of ECHOTA in this short video!

Megg,   That's also great riding country. I have a Harley and one of the best rides ever is in that area. I'm sure you've heard of the dragon. If not, ask around. 318 turns in 11 miles. Great riding - that's on a motorcycle. Have Fun.

The Cherokee Indians lived in this part of North Carolina as well as Tennessee and Nrothern Georgia.  Echota is a Cherokee word that means "Peaceful Haven"

WHen you consider that there are only 40,000 people in all of Watauga county and only 5,000 in Boone (minus the college students) yeah - we are in the Boonies.... Definitely a place people are looking to come and purchase vacation homes.

I do not ride but know people who do and they say The Dragon is a great ride - there was actually a write up in the paper last year about it.

The 11 mile stretch of road on US Highway 129, which crosses the Tennessee and North Carolina state lines, is a popular site for motorcyclists. It is known as The Dragon because of its 318 curves. Motorcycle riders come from around the world to try their hand at taming The Dragon. Riding The Dragon is unlike any other experience.

We have bikers all around Boone and Blowing Rock this time of year. The weather has been great and the Blue Ridge Parkway, and  man other rides like the Dragon bring people ehre by the droves.
