Love the shot, Endre! We have an area (in fact, several of them) here in Charlotte that you can go park right 'beneath' the runway and watch the planes take off & land. It reminds me of watching as a child because that's ALL my brother wanted to do! He loved airplanes then and is still flying them.

Instead of wondering where the passengers are going or where they've been like I did as a child, I think of him now!

Nina Hollander I miss those simple days, I remember when my friend took a Gumball Machine to Ireland (cast iron) no problems... I also remember when I flew back from Hungary and I had a cast iron Hibachi and they parked the plane outside and we had to be bused in to JFK and I got the total 100% search but that was after 9/11...Endre

There are two sets of landing runways and two for takeoffs for a total of 4 main runways at LAX (unless they changed since 2004). The view I had was always from the cockpit for approach for landing.
