Almost Wordless Wednesday ~ Bicycle Turned Yard Art

By
Real Estate Agent with Front Gate Real Estate Broker 11085

My readers know I love quirky yard art. While driving out of town yesterday I caught a glimpse of something unique and interesting and immediately turned the car around to capture this photo.

Yard Art Bicycle by Pat Starnes

Normally I would pull over, grab the shot and be on my merry way, but because the owner was standing in the yard, I stopped to ask permission. Like most friendly Mississippians, he welcomed me to not only take the photo, but proceeded to give me a tour of his fence where he displayed other quaint hand-constructed art pieces.

He said his wife would find ideas on Pinterest, and his job was to implement her wishes.

Can't you just imagine Angela Lansbury of Murder She Wrote fame touring Cabot Cove on this bicycle? Or perhaps Mary Poppins on a magical bicycle ride?

Imagination and creativity are wonderful tools. Although the blue bicycle may not be your idea of appropriate yard art, expand your mind by reading this article on ten ways to increase your imagination and creativity.

Happy Wednesday!

Pat,

I love it.  We have a quirky yard art and other fun things in the Wine county and I stop there regularly...It always brings a smile to my face as your picture did.  A

Hello Pat,  Now that is art for sure.  Nice bike also to have but wonder if little ones show up to ride it?

That is quirky and fun. I like the flamingo as well. Stopping to talk likely made that  man's day too!

That does stand out in a yard. I always like to see what neat ideas people come up with to reuse items.

I am often amazed at the creativity some folks have when it comes to creating art, from items many would simply throw away.

I had to turn the car around Lottie Kendall to get this photo. In my mind I thought the bicycle was PINK until I came upon it after turning around. Funny how the mind works. At least is was PASTEL!!

Very cute, Pat. My daughter uses old wheelbarrows and chairs to hold her flower pots.
