Baby Robin in a newly constructed home!

HAPPY FRIDAY, WINCHESTER & FELLOW ACTIVE RAIN ASSOCIATES!

This little sibbling group was located on a plant shelf on a covered back porch of a house I held an open house at this week.  Glad one little guy was awake.  I couldn't resist taking a photograph and sharing.

Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend!

I hope they get prettier, because these guys are ugly little suckers, but I bet their lungs are working fine they make quite a racket when they're that size.

Hi Ricardo.  I have a robin's nest on my own front porch this year, but can't get near them as the mother is so skittish and they're pretty high up.  So, I was thrilled to see this.

Hi Natalie,

Great shot! I also took some photo's today of a new little family in my front bushes. My hubby found them when he was trimming, you should have seen me with the camera trying to get the shot. LOL! :)

It is amazing where they decide to build a nest. Sometimes even on a porch for a fan spinning....

Ahhh... I know, I know, everyone has beat me to it, but they are so ugly that they are cute.  Sorry, couldn't help myself.  I hope that they find a new home.

Suzanne, feel free to post your photos here!  It would have been funny to see you trying to get those pictures.

Hey, Charles.  Can you imagine giving up a ceiling fan on a porch for any reason?  I'd do it for polite birds.  Robins, as in this case, are very polite.

Hey, Debbie.  I hope they've grown up and moved on by now.  It's only been a couple of weeks, but the ones on my front porch left the nest last weekend.

What are they, Natalie? They look sort of striped and I can't imagine what they are. Are they robins?

Hi Elizabeth.  Yes, they're robins.  We had some on our porch, too, but they were too high to photograph.

Natalie,

...we are hosting our second nesting of robins uner our back deck...hopefully, sneaking up on them later to see how they are doing after the storm last night....

Thanks for stopping by, by the way. I'll be around here now and then. Lane has been a good influence on me!

Hey, Steve.  Thanks for stopping by.  Lane's a great influence on so many for different reasons!  Please post a photo here once you get the shot.  I need to move on to better blog posts, but haven't been able to take the time with the amount of family visiting and real estate!  Soon...

Cindy  Ugly is so darn cute!  Maybe its so the predators don't find them as appealing!

Justin  Thanks!  A silly reason to do a blog, I know, but I had to share!

Natalie:  I love your photograph!  I recently sold a home that all four front porch columns each had a bird nest crafted around them!  The inspector asked the Buyer if they wanted him to remove them and they said absolutely NOT--they looked forward to sitting on their front porch and watching the birdies come and go!

Hi Teri.  I love to capture moments on camera and I'll never forget this special brokers open house!

Hey, Debe.  How fortunate to have buyers who appreciated the nests crafted around the columns.  Now, that's a photo I'd love to see.
