Yes, free home buyer grants are still available in the Phoenix metro area of Maricopa County. The Home in Five Advantage free grant program has been very popular and is still providing grants to home buyers with at least a 640 credit score but otherwise do not have sufficient cash for the down payment and/or closing costs.

A 3% free grant of the loan amount is available for down payment and/or closing costs. Veterans, first responders and teachers and certain others have recently been added to qualifying for an extra 1% free grant. How To Qualify?
- Borrowers Minimum FICO credit score of 640
- Annual income up to $92,980
- Debt to Income ratio up to 45%
- Occupy the home as principal residence within 60 days of closing
- Complete Homebuyer education
Qualifying Homes
- Located in Maricopa County
- Priced at $371,930 or below
- A new purchase (no refinancing)
- New or existing houses, condominiums, or townhouses
