A Mother's Love

With Mother's Day coming up this Sunday I have really been thinking about my Mom.  You know from the time a woman learns she is expecting it seems that something changes.  You hear about the 'pregnancy glow'.  Most Moms are so excited to meet her baby and really starts to do EVERYTHING to make sure she is doing her best.  Of course there are times where she feels like she is not making the right decision:  she is not feeding the right food, she is feeding too much food, she is giving too much attention, she is not giving enough attention, she is too lenient, she is too strict, the list could go on and on.  She worries.  When you are sad, she is sad.  When you are happy, she is happy.  When you succeed, she is proud.  She does whatever it takes to make sure that you have the best life.  She watches you when you say "Mom, look at this." "Mom, watch this." even though she has seen that 100 times. She goes years without buying herself the things she wants so that you can have what you want and need.  She does most of this without letting you know and how truly hard it is.  So, you get older and Mother's Day comes and you know you need/want to get her the very best thing to show her that you get it now.  You want to show her how much you appreciate her and how much you love her.  Some Mothers are not around so you pray and talk to her hoping she will hear you.  What is the best gift that you have gotten or given for Mother's Day?  What are the things that you think about?

Hi Joel - I appreciate what I learned from my mother, not so much by what she told me but just in being with her.
