SpaceX Falcon 9 launch 2nd attempt Friday, May 11, 2018 at KSC
SpaceX will try again this afternoon to launch its newest version of the Falcon 9, the "Block 5" rocket. The launch was scrubbed yesterday due to technical issues.
Liftoff is currently set for 4:14pm EDT at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Launch pad 39A.
The window extends to 6:21pm EDT and there is a 60% chance of good weather at launch time. Temperatures are currently in the 80s.
SpaceX plans to land the booster on a drone ship off the coast so the rocket can be reused. The landing is expected to occur eight (8) minutes after the launch.
If the launch is scrubbed today for some reason, the backup launch time is tomorrow, Saturday, May 12th at 4:15pm EDT.
