This morning a friend, whose home is for sale, emailed me to vent some frustrations.  Her feelings are all too common.  Longer market times, price reductions and negative feedback grates on the psyche of all Sellers.   People are even looking at renting their homes out, rather than selling.  It is never "easy" to sell in a Buyer's Market.

I've been fortunate, however, to find that homes DO sell, in time, and there are GOOD BUYERS out there!

Seller today must be patient, and remain focused on the things you can control.  Great marketing, quality condition, and competitive pricing, are all important and things you and our agent can control.  MOST important, however, is that your Realtor provides quality council during the negotiation process once Buyers do show interest.  Today's Buyers are likely to drive a hard bargain, and that can be very stressful for Sellers already "beaten down" by the market place.

Putting the final signatures on the deal can feel great, or gut wrenching.  The truest expression of a Realtors value is their ability to successfully negotiate in your best interests while the other party has the advantage.

Ben, I am with your homes do sell if you price it right. Most we can do is keep in constant touch with the seller and educated them about the market and their competition.

Hi Ben,

NIce post.  It is imperative to keep in touch with the seller, so when they start having those feelings we are there to help them, that is part of our job.  Have a great weekend.  Michael A. Caruso
