"You don't need to give birth to a child to be their Mom."
-Carol
My Mother, Amy St.Clair Klock, died in 1959 when I was 7 years old. She was hit by a car while crossing a street near our home.
Sadly, I don't have hardly any memories of her. Fortunately, I do have a number of pictures of my biological Mother. I have often wondered what it would have been like growing up with a mother instead of in a guardianship situation. That, apparently, was not my destiny. There were other women who were intended to have a motherly influence in my life.
I am happy to celebrate my Mom and all Moms on this special day. I am blessed to have had several women in my life who filled the void when I needed it (and still do). They are my "other mothers".
Thanks to all of them! Happy Mother's Day to ALL Moms, biological and otherwise. You play a very important role in the lives of children.
Morning Carol.
I bet your mother is proud of what you turned out to be. When my time comes, I know my mother and I will have a lot of catching up to do

Seven is such a young and sometimes difficult time lose a parent, especially a mother, Carol. However, like James Dray says in his #2 comment, "Ill bet your mother is proud of who you turned out to be."

Good morning Myrl Jeffcoat ,
Fortunately, I had a great Dad who my brother and I both adored. Sadly, though, he died 5 years later... and that started a whole 'nother chapter in life. Have a wonderful day!
Well, you turned out just fine and I am certain that your biological Mom is looking down upon you and very proud of the woman you are!
