Under the direction of our VP of Operations, Operations Support acts as the primary liaison between the Showhomes home office and franchisees to ensure that each location is representing our brand and growing successfully. Franchise Operations Support assists franchise owners and their staff with training, ramp up support and day-to-day operations support so that we continue to grow as a national company.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Candidate will be accountable for franchisee relationships, marketing and sales, operations performance, communications between the home office and the franchisee, business and finance management, initial and ongoing training, as well as contractual compliance within the Showhomes system.
In Operations Support you will have responsibilities such as:
• Accountable for helping franchisees drive sales in the marketplace. Assist franchisees with sales planning, operational execution and marketing activities. Showhomes is a marketing business and without marketing, there is no growth.
• Communicate and implement changes to standards, policies and contracts with Franchisees and follow up on all issues within the franchisee contract.
• Understand, interpret, uphold, and enforce standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide positive, constructive, and actionable feedback. Operations Support is a relationship business; without good relationships there is no trust and without trust there is no compliance. Must be able to get results and maintain relationships.
• Lead and monitor franchise operations to ensure consistency of service and product and deliver to system standards.
• Ensure successful rollouts of company initiatives
• Aid with the execution of the franchisees business plan and strategic direction to achieve desired results QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have excellent people skills – franchise operations support is a people business that works off of influence. Relationship sales and marketing background is a plus.
• Must have strong communication skills – this position requires written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have excellent computer skills - this position requires constant computer work. Proficiency with Microsoft office, publisher, excel, word, map point and Picasa is necessary.
• Must have experience and proficiency with sales and marketing - previous sales experience is a plus.
• Must have solid understanding of business and financial basics – previous business training is preferred, must be able to read and interpret P&L statements.
• Must be able to work as part of a team – Showhomes is a small, fast moving and rapidly growing business. Your ability to work harmoniously in a team and take direction is crucial.
• Must be a self starter and be able to solve problems to get results.
• Must have a love real estate and design. Showhomes is a home staging business!
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year university preferred though not required.
• A minimum of two years franchise experience and/or training and new location openings; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Previous franchise operations experience is preferred. Prior franchise ownership or small business ownership is a plus.
• Certification from IFA or similar group preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
Travel and Comp
30%-40%, frequent overnight travel required. Working many consecutive days in a row is part of the requirement for this job. Although not common, we occasionally work on weekends. Comp based on experience and qualifications. Anyone interested should apply.
