This is one of our favorite spots on the Carpinteria Bluffs.  We stop for a while and view the ocean and the coastline.  We hear the birds chirping, the waves moving and feel the sun on our bodies.  It is a moment of perfection!

Through the practice of deep looking, we can identify the positive seeds that we want to water every day, and train ourselves not to water the negative ones.  This is called"selective watering"

Good morning Ron and Alexandra Seigel, I can see why this is one of your favorite spots, it's absolutely beautiful. I can see myself sitting by the water for hours. Thank you for sharing.

I love the quote, and will think of selective watering for my thoughts. Practice makes it easier and easier - and yet, some of those unwelcome seeds still try to wander in now and again. Ha.

I can see why that spot would be a favorite of your's.  It isn't overly developed, and seems un-messed with!

"Selective watering," is excellent advice. I love when a deep thinker puts words into meaningful ideas to ponder and practice. Thich Nhat Hanh's quote is PERFECT!

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - you chose the perfect spot for reflection. I can understand why it moves you so deeply. It would give me reason to pause often in gratitude for life itself.

Morning Alexandra.

No such view in my area, pity.  Anyway, on the bright side we do have some wonderful views, just no salt water
