~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~

If you are an active social media user you know how important engagement is to sustain interest and capture new leads. FB understands this too and has been making changes to their algorithm that affects the news feed.

Have you noticed their "Posts from Across Facebook" prompt in your news feed? If you have seen it you may have also noticed that when you scroll past it a white bar appears at the top of your feed. That bar tells you FB is pushing you content that meets your interests (as determined by their algorithm/your actions).

Will this option continue? Hard to tell but it is being tested extensively right now to keep user interest high. Have you seen it yet? Noticed a change in what passes through your news feed?

Did You Know...According to Statista, Facebook has seen the most growth (527 million monthly users) of any social media site in the last 2 years. If you did not fall for the "FB is going away" hype over the past couple of years...kudos to you!  ;-)

PLEASE stop by the 5 Facebook Business Pages below, LIKE their page, and leave a comment. It is always nice to reciprocate, so if you are visited, please take a moment and return the favor.

As always, enjoy Rainers!

The Real estate social network

Good information Anita.

Facebook is experimenting everyday new things with their algorithms. But the main question is, how do you like your steak cooked? There is no magic formula optimizing a feed, who will satisfy everybody. On one hand, people are more likely to engage with content from friends and family, while on the other, they'll probably stick around longer if you can show them more relevant content.Facebook knows that if engagement drops, users will drift and they do not want to go that way. That’s why the platform is so proactive in trying out new ways to keep users around for longer.Even their engineering team, doesn't know what will work best to invite more engagement.I definitely see a big problem whith a platform that was built for a certain purpose, now wants to be used for other things like for real estate business. Many real estate agents do not know or have the time to post relevent contents. What might be relevant content for me, might will not be relevant content to others. So, the future of social networks is a niche social network.

HOMEiZ: I agree about niche marketing, whether it is via social media or through our blogs. If I have learned anything with SM marketing, it is to be flexible and embrace change. Right now I am content to ride the wave with my current SM toolbelt of sites. For me, it is effort expended vs expected results vs actual outcome. When the numbers no longer work in my favor I move on.

Good to hear your experience has been positive, Beth.

John: It could indeed be called that. They are clearly trying to do everything possible to not become the next MySpace.

I agree with your way of thinking. Thanks for the insight Paul.
