Fox features Showhomes Greenville

Fox News in Greenville, SC featured Showhomes last week on a 10 minute segment on Home Staging. This is wonderful for owner Natasha Little who recently opened her franchise in this market and is off to a great start. The media clip, which ran four times last week, is sure to help!

The reporter did a good job laying out some stats about staging that should help others. Take a look and let me know what you think:

Hi Fernando,

Showhomes has been using live in Home Managers to help stage large, vacant homes for sale since the early 1980s. Its a niche in staging (the original niche) that makes both tremendous economic sense for the home owner and produces excellent sales results.

In the end it says staged homes sell about 2 weeks faster??

Reporters - gotta love em!

Our survey from 2004 and 2005 (at the height of the housing boom) stated that staged homes (whole house staged, not partial) sell 60-90 days faster and for at least 15% higher price. These days our homes have been outperforming market conditions by 50%.

Not sure what website she pulled that from but it isn't accurate. That said, publicity is a wonderful thing, isn't it....

All in all it was a great story and Margaret was fun to work with. The funny thing about stories like this is that you shoot about 3 hours worth of video and you can never be sure how it's going to turn out in the end.

There were lots of facts I mentioned in my part of the interview that didn't make it in, but...such is life!

I saw the two week statistic and thought - No! That's not very impressive AND it's not right! But, what can you do..?

It was great free press, so I can't complain!
