Give the HUD Approval Already

I had a closing today that was on a bank owned property. We closed at noon, but at 3:45 pm are still waiting for HUD approval. Technically the buyers can't move into the home with out the bank signing off on it. They always do sign off on it, but it would not be a good weekend for it to not get signed off on today.

I told my buyers when we made the offer that we needed to close on Thursday because of this. The loan officer didn't understand what I meant and did not get things moving fast enough. So here I sit thinking I hope the HUD gets approved soon.

On a positive note this was the only closing out of my last 9 closings that actually closed on or before the date on the original purchase agreement. So I will look at the bright side. Have a great weekend!

Chuck - Hope that you got the HUD done by the end of the day! That'd be a bummer if it didn't.... happy memorial weekend!
