I want to know what you THINK!!!!

I just invested in a new advertising program, and I wanted to get a few opinions on whether you thought it was money well spent or wasted.

There is a local health club in my area, which is also a pool club in the summer months. This is a huge facility, which is also the home of various rec council events; lacrosse, soccer, etc. There is a giant indoor soccer arena where all the rec council events are held.

Let me cut to the chase... For a considerable dollar amount, you can choose to be a preferred community partner at the facility. This includes:

1. An 8x10 banner advertising your services which is posted in their indoor arena. (you choose the design)

2. Advertisements posted in their lobby.

3.accreditation on their website.

4. accreditation in their monthly newsletter

5. (my personal favorite) Each month you have a week to set up a table in their lobby, advertising your services, post your listings, etc. you can sit there to get buyers/sellers etc. answering any questions.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?? I am personally excited about it, I think it is a great way to gain business.

Plus, I was thinking when the pool opens, grab a grill, cook up some dog, soda, and give them out...

Also, I am the only Real Estate professional that will avertise there, GUARANTEED!!

Please comment!!

Would love to hear if this works for you.  I advertise on the magazines in the YMCA that i attend-wouldn't have done it except that I'm in there every day so it might pay off.  Never can tell!

Gloria...

I think it sounds great. What I see is the added advantage of being the only real estate professional allowed to advertise. Any time you find a niche like that you need to scratch it :)

TLW...ROAR!

I think it is a great idea though not sure what "considerable amount of money" equals.  Do you pay per year and if you don't feel it is worth it, discontinue?  I hope it brings you much more than the considerable amount you paid.

I like the idea. Possibly keep track of the results. The work you do here on your BLOG , though "sweat intensive" may pay off for you. it sure has for me!

Gloria,

I have not tried the gym idea for real estate, but I did look at it for health insurance back in the day.

I think its a great marketing avenue to try.  When your the only RE professional, it really sweetens the pot.

I hope that you dont mind ( I am going to take your idea), but I am going to contact that gym next week sometime and see if it is still doing the same thing.  I had forgotten all about the gym deal until you mentioned it.

Please do let us know how it goes.

Gloria,

I think it is a great idea. If you have kids that are playing there and like some parents seem to spend alot of time there you might as well do it.

I especially like that you can set up a display and talk to the people as they come and go.

Track your results and let us know what the return rate is

Gloria,

I am in agreement with the others. Love that you will be the only realtor and that you can set up a display : ) You have to decide where your advertising dollars are going to work best for you. I hope it's here- Let us know.

I would love to know how this works for you.  I am a little skeptical due to the time factor.  When I go to the YMCA I am usually on a tight schedule.  How many people are going to take the time to stop?  Please update us on this after a month or two!  Good luck!
