Despite the downturn in the real estate market, I have been able to grow my business here at Patrion Mortgage (a division of Altura Credit Union).
One side effect of this is that I promoted Hilary Wilkinson from Production Assistant to Jr. Mortgage Loan Consultant...and we need a new Production Assistant!
It's a fun and challenging work environment. Although you will technically report to the Dawn Williams, Vice President, you will work closely with Hilary and me, supporting our service to our clients and community from our San Jacinto office.
The details are below, but here is a rough description of what we're looking for:
- Great administrative skills (interpersonal, phone, computer)
- Friendly, focused on customer service
- Real estate, escrow or mortgage processing background is a plus
- Experience with social networks and blogging is a plus (Active Rain, MySpace, Twitter, Blogger...)
- Willingness to contribute ideas and work hard

Patrion Mortgage is looking to fill the following Full time position:
Job Title: Production Assistant
Department: Patrion Mortgage, LLC
Reports To: Dawn Williams, VP of Sales
FLSA Status: Non-exempt/Hourly
Salary Range: $9.94 - $12.43 -- $14.92
SUMMARY
Supports the producing mortgage loan consultant by inputting and reviewing applications, assisting with sending required disclosures, answering phone calls and setting appointments.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and/or QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
2. Two (2) years college and/or real estate training, or equivalent.
3. Demonstrated ability to produce documents, spreadsheets, databases, etc. with Windows-based software. Prior experience working with mainframe transactions required, as well as proficiency with the Internet.
4. Excellent listening skills necessary in order to follow instructions given to complete new tasks.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with Altura members as well as Patrion Mortgage, LLC and credit union staff and management.
7. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks under heavy deadlines.
8. Ability to type 40 WPM, and the ability to type for up to 80% of a workday.
9. Ability to operate a 10-key calculator, and the ability to use the calculator for up to 20% of a workday.
10. Notary Public experience preferred.
11. Ability to provide accurate, consistent and personalized service.
12. Ability to cooperate and work harmoniously with a group.
13. Ability to be patient, steady and have a high tolerance for repetitive work.
14. No foreign language is required, however, fluency in Spanish is preferred.
15. Proficient math skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate averages and percentages.
16. Ability to follow instructions and use common sense in making decisions and problem solving under normal and stressful situations.
17. Ability to assemble facts, weigh alternative solutions and make sound decisions with some assistance.
18. The ability to sit at a desk, use a computer by typing on a keyboard or 10-key calculator up to 80% of a workday, file and retrieve documents from a file cabinet, and occasionally leave the work station to walk around to deliver mail and other documents to other work areas.
19. This job does not require a person to lift and/or move more than 20 pounds. Personal protection equipment is available.
