How do you make sure you accomplish the most important of tasks that generates revenue for your business?

Time is of the essence however big or small your enterprise is. In a very busy world that we live in, how do you know the sequence in performing your daily tasks?

I would like to share some of my tips in getting the most important things done.

Prioritize Your To-Do List

Efficiency is doing things right while effectiveness is doing the right things. There’s nothing wrong with being efficient in everything we do but we also need to make sure we’re taking care of tasks in an order knowing which ones go to high, medium, or low priority. We can even toss some to-dos and free up our calendars and do other more productive things. Pick the top 3 things that will make the most difference in your business and life. Do those first. Even if you don’t get to do anything else on your list, you will know you made a difference by concentrating on your Top Three Tasks each day.

 Delegate or Delete

You have way more on your list than you can do. After figuring out your Top Three Tasks, take some time to review the things on your list and first decide which are no longer important. Maybe that Facebook Training Class sounded like a good idea at the time, but now it is just not going to fit into your day. Delete! There will also be things on your list that others can help you with. Mark things on your list that you need to delegate to others. Delegating still requires you to spend some time in assigning the tasks, answering questions and reviewing their work, but it should be less time than it takes you to do it yourself, saving minutes or even hours for you to concentrate on those important tasks.

 Organize and Label

How much time do you spend looking for something? I’m not just talking about drawers and cabinets in your office, but more importantly your computer files and apps on your phone!.Don’t let files cover the whole wallpaper. Learn to segregate and use folders instead.

 Give Yourself a Break

You may feel you are too busy to take an hour for lunch or even take a break. Working straight through your day can actually be less productive. You will get more done in less time if you are able to step away from your work, grab something to eat, go for a short walk, or call a friend. Try it and watch your productivity spike!

Have an accountability partner or a coach

An accountability partner or a coach will help you focus on your goals and offer support to keep you committed. Sometimes the outside perspective of a professional is just what you need to properly prioritize and to hold you accountable for doing the things you should be doing each day.

.If you are ready to make some changes, to get more done, to be more productive, schedule a 20-minute call with me. I will give you some coaching and perspective that is for you and your situation. It will be worth the time spent!

Time management is what it's all about. Not everything can be done at once!
