According to a Harris Poll survey, commissioned by SunTrust Mortgage, 55 percent of all U.S. homeowners with children and approximatly 75 percent of millennial homeowners say that their children's opinion play a large role on their home-buying decision.
The survey found that 57 % of children request their own private bedrooms and 34% asked for a large backyard.
“When people are able to reduce financial stress they gain confidence, and with it the freedom to make the right decisions for themselves and their families, whether that’s a large backyard, a swimming pool or something else entirely,” Todd Chamberlain, head of Mortgage Banking at SunTrust, tells Housecall.
I agree that children can influence a parents choice in which house they choose or turn away from. Do you have any stories of this?
