I finally did it.  I customized my blog.  The Customizer was super easy to use!  And if this is the first time you're hearing about the Customizer, allow me to direct you to the Active Rain Customizer.

My husband did step in and help me add that photo at the top though.  I could not size it appropriately to see more than the tippy-top of the sky. 

The photo is from a trip we took to Cape May, NJ.  My husband's family used to vacation there when he was a child, and it was the first time I'd been.  It just seemed a great photo for the top of my blog.

Karen Anne:  I was doing something wrong too.  I was cutting and pasting the java code into the wrong box.  I put it in Blog description vs. Blog text.  I screwed it up about five times and didn't know why until I saw that I was pasting the code for my changes in the wrong place.  Maybe you are doing the same thing.  To me that last step was very counter intuitive.

Morning Chris

WELL, I finally got my customization to work; though your photo looks much nicer than mine because it encompasses the entire header. I guess I must just mess with it longer to get a photo to work.  Was your photo a wide shot to begin with? or did your husband S T R E T C H it to work? Curious

In any event; mine is more colorful now; and the beauty is that BECAUSE OF YOU; I now know how to change and tweak it when the mood strikes
