My Noisy Friend

For some reason, he likes the top of this electric pole!

I am not a noisy person but I do have noisy friends.  This Red-Headed Woodpecker is one of them.  I don't know that he knows that he's a friend though.  Red Headed Woodpeckers have a crimson red head, entirely white body and half white/half black wings.  They are gorgeous!  The Red Headed Woodpecker is very skilled at catching insects in mid-air and that's one of the reasons that he's a friend.  Besides that, he just makes the homestead prettier!
