In our previous post today, we shared our cheese platter adventure in Park City, Utah. Our lovely cheese monger recommended a Riesling or Rosé wine. In Utah liquor is only sold at the State Liquor Stores, which fortunately was well located across from The Market in Park City.
When Ron and I spotted the Moselland bottle we knew this was it. It is a German wine and it gets its name from the Mosel River that flows through the region. It has a low alcohol content of 10%. Here are the tasting notes:
This elegant wine shows typical flavors of a Riesling form the Mosel region; green apple, pear, light citrus aroma, and a great bunch of minerals. Perfect balance of fruitiness and crispness. Ideal with grilled fish, salads, light Thai-food, chicken and any kind of white-meat-dishes.
It paired perfectly with our assortment of cheeses. Cheers!
