Cupertino Middle, High Schoolers Urged to Enter Rotary Poetry Contest

Students attending Middle school in the Cupertino Union School District and High School in the Fremont Union High School District, (aka "Cupertino Schools") are encouraged to submit poems for the Cupertino branch of Rotary International's Annual Poetry Contest.
This includes students currently in grade 6-8 at Kennedy, Miller, Hyde, Lawson, McAuliffe and Cupertino middle schools and students at Homestead, Lynbrook, Monta Vista, Fremont High, and Cupertino high schools.
Students are eligible to submit poems reflecting the theme of “Service above Self,” reflecting the “Rotary’s core values of service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership.”
The top three winners of the contest will win $100, $75 and $50.
The reading time should be under two minutes for participating students and the submission deadline is June 21. The three winners will be announced on July 1 and an awards ceremony will be held in their honor on July 25.
