Selling your home in St George UT this summer 2018 should be a fairly quick transaction if marketed correctly.   Currently, homes are selling nearly as fast as they are listed.  Most St George UT homes are on the market an average of 59 days according to recent market reports.

Rising home prices are bringing in home buyers from all across the country. Many buyers have been able to sell their homes in California, Washington and other states making a nice profit.  They are then coming to St George and purchasing homes.

Most homes on the real estate market are selling for above the estimated market value, and many buyers are not negotiating too much on price. Currently St George homes are selling for 98.4% of their listed price.  These facts make selling a St George UT home this summer a great option.

Less Competition – Now that the market has rebounded for several years, there are fewer short sales, bank-owned and foreclosed properties to compete with. This has really helped drive up home prices and home sales. Now,  selling a home in St George UT is less stressful than it was when there was a lot of "distressed" competition on the market. There are only a handfull of foreclosures on the market at any given time.  New home listings on the market were down 7.7% in May 2018 from a year ago.  This also means there will be more demand for your home with less inventory available.

Right now there are plenty of buyers, but not enough properties.  There is a great need for homes priced under $350,000 with the average sales price being $343,830.
