On June 19, 2018, California Association of Realtors (C.A.R) reported an annualized rate of 409,270 single family homes sold in California in May of 2018 decreased 1.8% from 416,750 in April of 2018, and decreased 4.6% from 428,870 units in May of 2017. While, homes values gained 2.8% to the price of $600,860 in May of 2018 from price of $584,460 in April of 2018, and rose 9.2% from price of $550,230 in May of 2017 in California.
There were 3.0 months supplies of available inventory of single family homes in May of 2018, down from 3.2 months in April of 2018, but up from 2.9 months in May of 2017. An average it took 15.0 days to sell a single family home in May 2018, same as from 15.0 days in April of 2018, but gained from 14.0 days in May of 2017 in California. The average price for a square foot was $286.00 in May of 2018 higher from $268.00 in May of 2017 in California.
