This year, the 4th of July holiday falls on a Wednesday which has caused a lot of shifting and variation on when local communities have their fireworks display. Use the links below to make sure you don't miss the fireworks this year--and you might even be able to attend more than one celebration!

Where can you enjoy fireworks in the Northern Virginia area?
  1. Fireworks on the National Mall. If you have never had the opportunity to watch the fireworks explode over our Nations Capital, it is not to be missed.  The fireworks begin on July 4th at 9:10 p.m. and can be seen from many places in Washington D.C. and Arlington, VA.  For more information, visit http://www.nps.gov/foju/fireworks.htm
  2. Arlington, Virginia hosts a number of locations where you can see the fireworks from the National Mall while staying on the otherside of the river. Check out some of the best locations, https://topics.arlingtonva.us/july-4/
  3. Alexandria, Virginia will host it's celebration on Saturday, July 7 , from 6 to 10 p.m., at Oronoco Bay Park (100 Madison St.).
