Broward county is celebrating the 4th of July in its usual grand style. Following are the Independence Day festivities in 3 Broward cities (all events are free):
MIRAMAR, FL: Miramar, Fl celebrates at Miramar Regional Park at 16801 Miramar, Parkway. The park opens at 4:00PM; music will be provided by a live DJ, with a kids' zone for the little ones and food vendors throughout. Enjoy the fireworks extravaganza from 9:00-9:20PM;
SUNRISE, FL: The 4th of July celebration in Sunrise, Fl. is divided in two. From 9:00AM to noon, residents & guests are invited to watch floats wind west on Sunset Strip towards City Park at 6700 Sunset Strip, Sunrise. Enjoy refreshments and a children's fun zone. Then, from 4:30PM to 9:30PM, the action moves west to outdoors at the BB&T center. Planned activities include a children's fun zone with an assortment of food and beverages available. Musical entertainment will be provided by three bands. At 5:00PM, enjoy reggae & R&B played by the Skotch Bennett Band followed at 6:30PM & 7:45PM by the Mr. Nice Guy & the Grand Funk Railroad bands, respectively, both playing Classical Rock tunes. The evening will cap off with an amazing fireworks finale at 9:15PM;
TAMARAC, FL. Dubbed the "All American Celebration Event", Tamarac, Florida's 4th of July party will take place from 6:00-9:00PM at the city's Sports Center at 9901 NW 77 St.. Come out and enjoy the out door concert by the Chili Factor band, a kids' area with inflatables, face painting, arts & crafts & games, and food booths. Continuous shuttle service will be provided from City Hall or the Tamarac Community Center from 5:30-8:15PM, and after the fireworks. The fireworks display will be at 9:00PM.
