I for one love the water.

If there was a great lake in my work area, I would living on it.

Not to say the lakes in my area are not good, it is just what "I"  like in  a lake.

If you have thought about buying a lake home think about this..

The sunset and sunrise.

Size of lake

Restrictions on the lake...fishing or otherwise

What you are going to use the lake for...Fishing, boating, jet ski, Skiing

There are a lot of things to consider.

Let me  help in those decisions.

Good morning William Feela I, too, would love to live on a lake.... it's difficult to find a nice home for sale on a lake.....once they're purchased, people don't want to sell them...

I would love to live on a lake. Or live in the forest. Or live on a lake in the forest. Or live on an island by the sea. Ahhh

Morning William.

A stream a lake or for that matter any type of water, is just what my wife wants. Sad to say, around here the price is out of our reach.

Lakes, rivers, and ponds, there are benefits to all three for those who want to live on water. But, as you mention, so much to consider. For example, in our area, there are spots on certain rivers where you can't fish, but upstream a few miles you can, etc. Flood insurance?

The photo of the lake is very inviting - wish I was paddling on it right now. D

There is always a lot to consider before moving to any lake. I for one worry a great deal about the fishing.

Many like living near water or having the view. My last two homes backed up to a river and a creek and couldn't see either one unless they were in flood stage.

Lake living is gorgeous but I don't like the lack of privacy, so I chose land instead of water for my special place.
