Motivational Monday - Aging 'Ain't' So Bad!

Well, this is going to be my __9th anniversary of my 21st birthday, James Dray! I will say that I'm glad not to be 21 again...I wouldn't want to go back for any amount of money! 

You're so right, Kat Palmiotti! It's certainly better than the alternative, isn't it?!

And, thank you - I have a few more weeks in my 30's! (Okay, I wish!!) LOL 

Wayne Martin, I read your comment to my hubby this morning - I love that - waking up on the right side of the grass! Yes, I have to agree - it's better than the alternative...for sure!

I agree - it's like everything in life, Brian England, that involves 'change' - things go a lot smoother when you embrace it! This one is just hitting me sideways but, I'm taking your advice and preparing the road ahead...so I can continue to run with the big dogs!! 

I agree that Sophia Loren looks fab and I do love her quote...and agree with it too, Ron and Alexandra Seigel.  I need to embrace that fountain of youth!

50 didn't hit me too hard, Grant Schneider - and I don't know why! I remember thinking that I may very well have lived half of my life but, I'll be damned if it was going to be the best half! 

Seriously - I think that did the trick for me with that milestone! LOL

You're so right, JL! And, moving forward, I'm going to think along those same lines - I'm getting older but, not getting OLD!

I WISH! I also read your comment to Ray, Lisa Von Domek and he said, (ever so sweetly), "You still don't even look 40!" And, yes, he got his dinner request - exactly as he wanted it cooked too! LOL

Sadly, my entire life, I've been a numbers girl - I remember crazy numbers - people's phone numbers from years ago, my grandparents phone number from the 70's, my drivers license number...and I never forget how old I am!!

But, I am going to take your advice (and I love it) - I'm going to OWN this milestone - just watch me! Thanks, Kathy Streib!! I owe you one!

Oh, what a beautiful comment, Patricia Feager - that really means a lot to me. Thank you! And, I may take you up on the dancing around the kitchen! Funny but, when Ray is gone and I'm home alone (which is rare!), I turn on the music and DO dance around the kitchen. My fur babies think I've lost my mind - no kidding! They all wake up and they all just sit in the floor, acting like, "Surely, there must be something wrong!" It's hilarious!

You know, I hit 50 and realized that half of my life was over but, I talked myself into believing that the best half is yet to come...and I've been right so far, Kasey & John Boles! It's a little tougher thinking along those lines now, Kasey...I need to come up with something more convincing this time! LOL

Age is just a number - we both reaize that - I'll take a few more laugh lines in exchange for the next decade of healthy living... 

Oh, thank you so much, Jane Chaulklin-Schott - I completely agree with you. I wouldn't want to go back in time and I'm certainly ever-so thankful for the wisdom and maturity that does come with age. It's just a bit of a fearful milestone but, I'm becoming more accepting of it as I get closer! LOL
