My flowersTake time today to remember and honor those that gave their lives for us.

Whatever you do today, enjoy it and look with open eyes and an open mind at the beauty around you.

Treasure it as you all know that "yesterday is history...tomorrow is a mystery and today is a present" I don't know who originally said that... but it is so true.

Enjoy your present and take time to smell the flowers and give thanks!

Thank you Monika for this reminder.  What a gift, present, that today is.  Let's open that gift and enjoy all that it has to offer.

Monika, if there is anything good about growing older is that I have learned to enjoy the present and not worry about tomorrow.

Moni - Your lilacs are GORGEOUS!! I think God must have made them especially pretty this spring for you having to put up with all the snow you guys had! I wish I had smell-a-computer (well, maybe not) so I could smell them. We had lilacs when I was growing up. They just don't do well here in Texas.

Monika- Your lilacs are beautiful. You are so right we are not guaranteed tomorrow so we may as well find the flowers to smell today. Thanks for visiting yesterday - it was so relaxing and I learned something new.

Hi Moni,

Better words have never been spoken.  Thank you for reminding us.  Today really is a present and stopping to smell the roses should be at the tippy top of our lists each day!  It's good to be back!  Hope all is well with you and Jay!

Hi Monika,
And how we use that "present" is up to us....leave it sitting unopened, open it up and set it aside or open it, appreciate its beauty and embrace it.
