First Day @ Atlanta

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Best Choice

Laurie and I left St. Louis Saturday morning around 7 AM and arrived in downtown Atlanta at around 6 PM local time and then it happened! My trusty GPS went blitso and had us driving in circles. We got stuck in some kind of concert traffic, it was horrible. After 9 hours in the car stopping for gas and quick food we were ready to get out of the car. We could see the Marriott but we couldn't get to it. We also ended up at a different Marriott in downtown Atlanta.

So after driving around downtown for about an hour we pulled over took a breath turned the trusty GPS back on and finally got to the hotel. What an awesome place. Make sure you take a peek up at the atrium if you're staying here or plan on stopping by, they actually have a huge RE/MAX balloon hanging in there and it's still a sight to see. We actually went up to like the 40th floor and peered over the rail..............

We plan on picking up our registration papers this morning and then we're going to head over to Alpherretta to have lunch with my dad. He resides over in Cummins, GA. We are going to the cheesecake factory and plan on being back at the Marriott in time to meet some of our new friends from Active Rain. If you're in town and not in a class stop by the sports bar between 3 and 5. Hope to see you there.
