As July comes to an end, there is quite a pattern in those who try to sell their home on their own. Known as FSBO's (For sale by owner homes.) they try to save money but often cost themselves more than they save. During this Summer I have blogged quite a lot about FSBO Sellers. We have heard wild stories about how trying to save money in selling ones home have led to some sad and sometimes crazy situations. If you listen to what buyers are saying, we can understand why many of these homes may not have sold. Some buyers offer zero feedback and leave sellers to guess. Here in the Manchester NH area, listen to what the buyers looking at these homes may be thinking.
In no particular order... THE TOP 10 THINGS THAT MAY BE HEARD FROM FSBO BUYERS: It could happen....
1. That home is WAY OVER PRICED.
2. I can not believe that FSBO Seller will not take a lower offer that is closer to what the home is really worth.
3. I can not believe that FSBO Seller let me see the hoe with all these things broken.
4. I can not believe that FSBO Seller tried to fix that himself. It looks worse than before.
5. I can not believe that FSBO Seller thinks they can get that price for the home.
6. I can not believe that FSBO Seller does not realize how bad their home smells.
7. I can not believe that FSBO Seller thinks anyone will want to see their home with all the peeling paint out front
8. I can not believe that FSBO Seller followed me everywhere i went stepping on my heels.
9. I can not believe that FSBO Seller would not answer any of the questions we had about buying their home.
10. I can not believe that FSBO Seller listed with Scott Godzyk, there goes our chance to buy that house for half price.
