George.  I can assure you it does.  It is specific to folks who say what they mean and not what they think someone wants to hear.

Jan.  Thanks.  I love the Eagle.  My fondest memory of Yellowstone is seeing an Eagle swoop down from a tree and pluck a fish from the lake. 

Laurie.  Actually, I believe that the industry has already progressed beyond the lawsuit.  It needed a decent burial.  One of the good results of the settlement would cover VOW/agency, i.e., He noted that the mere registration at a VOW does not constitute a client relationship -- you're not able, according to this rule, to create a relationship at the registration level.

However, I expect to see considerable abuse of the VOW web sites now. 

Terry.  Every day is a good day.  The alternative to having a day is not very attractive. 

Danny.  This was a non-meme.

Mary.  YouTube is nothing special.  There is little to no focus.

Rich.  Ah, Carnac.  We could use a dose of Carnac these days.

Jeff.  The Zennias need water.  We're getting dry again.

Kathy.  Goodness. I'm still stomping on those memes.  Can't seem to kill them off.  They're like a wine that has turned to venigar.  I suppose the next one will hve 25 questions. 

Jack.  Indeed.  This one was particularly onerous and had to be smashed like a bug.  It had 8 different questions rather than 5.  It also involved YouTube and flikr,  Geez.

Thanks Marilyn.  I appreciate the thoughts.  Yep.  Give me some hard core stuff to chew on and I'm a happy camper.

Chuck.  You hit the nail on the head.  What happens when you are MeMed????  If folks have something to say, say it, write it.  Don't try to ride on the backs of fellow members by publicly challenging them to answer silly questions. 

This is so insane.  Anyone can sit at their computer and make a list of 5 or 8 or 20 questions and then name 5 or 8 or 20 fellow members to answer.  What purpose does it serve except to post for a lousy 200 points.  It is also, IMO, an invasion of the privacy of the person's MeMed. 

I've been MeMed a half dozen times or so, clearly most folks know better.  The first time, I actually played the game and named 5 persons, re the rules of that Meme.  I felt guilty because I knew I was causing the persons I named to spend valuable time at something they probably didn't want to do.  That was confirmed by their own comments, but because they are good sports, the cooperated. 

Then I put my foot down and vowed to never perpetuate this game. 

I don't MeMe folks.  MeMe me and I may or may not reply.  I will not perpetuate the process.

Teri. Feel free to copy my responses to the Meme.  That should confuse things a bit.  Good idea.

Pam.  The MeMe is like a bad cold.  It won't kill you but it makes for some extremely uncomfortable moments.

The reason I don't like the Memes is because it's one ActiveRain member ursurping the time of other ActiveRain members. 

I can bat out those answers in about 4 minutes, but I know some folks spend a lot of agonizing time with them.  Many really care about their image.  I got over that years ago. 

If someone wants to write about themselves, do it, but don't try to influence how others spend their valuable time.
