Who else enjoys a summer meteor shower? Mark the calendar for the Perseid Meteor Shower due August 12-13, 2018.

While the ideal viewing spot is up high and free from light and air pollution, it's still possible to see the Perseids in Silicon Valley.
Find the highest point you can that is as free from light pollution as possible. Spread out a blanket and lie down. Relax your eyes to empower your peripheral vision and watch for movement in the skies.
