Not Often Do I Run Out of Listings in Sacramento

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

About the third week in July, I noticed all my listings had gone into pending status. That rarely happens to this Sacramento listing agent. I'm generally good for one to two listings a week. And I never run out of them. There seems to be a never-ending supply.

But then, a few short weeks ago, they all sold. I could not believe my eyes. Even the cats were shocked. You can read more in my personal blog at this link: Couple of Weeks Ago This Sacramento Top Producer Had Zero Listings.

Elizabeth, you are usually full of opportunities, and hope you have heard from more potential Sellers.

Love the cat picture... perfect for International Cat Day today! I feel your pain, Elizabeth... I closed in the past two weeks on all my listings and have a couple ready to come on market soon... but also suddenly no inventory because everything sold quickly.

Nina Hollander I cannot pinpoint the exact date but I would guess it's been maybe 10 years since I've run out of listings. It was only a short period but odd sensation.

Hi Elizabeth... every so often I sit up and realize that every seller and buyer I've been working with is in contract and then start worrying about what to do next. Funnily enough, next always shows up.

That is absolutely true. Some agents tend to freak out because I think some people tend to live life one step away from homelessness, but it always, and I mean always, works out.

What did you have to do to get your 3 kitties to pose like that?

That is the cutest bunch of felines I know, Elizabeth.  And, there is Jackson, just being his normal little self!

With more inventory being on the market, and homes taking a little longer to sell, I'm glad you have run out of listings. . .That's a very good thing!

Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® Just lucked out. I did not pose them or rearrange them. Grabbed my cell, which was on my desk. Sometimes they get lonely during the day or they crave the comfort from my light bulb heat. It's not often all 3 of them jockey for position on my desk.

At dinner time, Tessa plants herself right in front of my face, in front of my monitor and stares at me while I try to type. I feel her little kitty brain waves saying: Noooo typing until you feed your cats!

WHAT??? No, Myrl, that is NOT a good thing. That is a BAD thing. Once we sell everything there is to sell, we are out of business. LOL. Fortunately, I listed more.

I saw the same cycle here in Bristow last month.  Everything went under contract on my roster.  Then two fell out.  One seller decided to sit out the rest of the summer.  The other is the only active listing I have at the moment.   But like you, I have two more in the wings, and a third coming up in the city where I grew up.

No matter the market demand, you are there to help Sacramento sellers.

It has been a battle for over a year now. I used to have a dozen or more listings but can keep many at a time now. They sell fast.
