There is an increased level of anger locally over the announcement by the Hershey Company that there may be job losses in manufacturing and perhaps other segments in the company business locally.

There was a rally yesterday attended by over 200 people in support of the workers and insupport of retaining these jobs locally. Among those in attendance was a Dauphin County commissioner as well as several local government elected officials. The company was not represented.

One interesting attendee is not mentioned in the article. The daughter of H.B. Reese attended to support keeping manufacturing locally with her son. Reese's started in Hershey and HB sold the business to Hershey a long time ago. A Reese family member has served on the Hershey board for a long time.
