Did you know that if you live in Westchester, CA every week you have the opportunity two days of the week to visit the Farmers Market? Yes, indeed on Wednesday and Sunday you can fill up your kitchen with all the fresh produce. In all fairness even if you live in other areas you can visit it😊!
Over the years I have frequented, virtually all the nearby Farmers Markets, but it did not really register in my mind to visit the Farmers Market in Westchester on Wednesdays. Just to be clear it has been quite a while since I went to a Farmers Market. I see friends on Active Rain visiting consistently their various local Farmers Markets and sharing their wonderful photos of the produce. Never the less, it did not get me to leave my routines to drop in on one. Shame on me for visiting the various Grocery Stores instead.
Well the other day Diane was leaving to Boston, MA and asked me to drop off her library book and pick one up for her so she could have it with her for the trip. As I was trying to accomplish her request and visit the Westchester Library I noticed there was a Farmers Market in the Parking Lot of the Westchester, CA Public Library.
This is one was clearly one of the smaller ones I was accustomed to frequenting. Interestingly I found it one of the more intimate farmer's markets in all of LA.
I got there late as they were in the process of starting to break it down, never the less I managed to spend some time and purchase quite a few items. Fresh peaches, sweet plumbs and other fruit as well, tomatoes of various types and size. Anyway, you get the idea, that I pleasantly over shopped.
