It's not uncommon that when we first start working with a buyer the type of home we start looking at is a LONG way from where we end up!
This week we helped buyers complete the purchase of a nice Mason home. And like many buyers, where we started was in home type a LONG way from where we ended.
Our first discussions were about a Mason townhome community called Beacon Hill. Upscale, very convenient to lots of amenities and unique in the area. After seeing a couple and weighing options, an offer was written on one of them, and Murphy's Law at work, previous buyers whose contract had fallen through for financing reappeared WITH money and completed the sale.
After debating whether to pursue another of the townhomes, they asked to see a few "regular" homes in the area, and one of the three was a good match. And while the home was a different style entirely, physically it was just around the corner from where we started, and the price was approximately the same as the townhome.
And the offer was written, and Murphy's Law at work again, THIS home had a contingent contract in front of us. Fortunately our buyers weren't contingent and the first offer released after 24 hours.
With some work identified during inspections, the sellers addressed the key issues and we proceeded to closing.
So now Squire's Gate community has some new residents, and we're happy to have had the chance to help them find a place to call home.
