Don’t compromise yourself
Keep your standards high and beyond approach . . . . and out in front of your profession.
The people that ask you to compromise your standards are not your friends . . . . they are asking you to compromise your standards for their person gain.
If you comply with their request they will own you . . . . and they will be back for additional compromises.
If you’re asked to compromise your standards your answer should always be the same . . . . JUST SAY NO.
A little compromise in your standards can undo years of hard work of building a positive professional reputation. It will also damage your professional image and standing in your profession and community.
Don’t allow anyone to step between you . . . . and your reputation by selling you on the idea of compromising your standards by “saying just this one time”. It’s never one time . . . . and it can open the flood gates of personal decline in your profession.
Don’t compromise yourself . . . . you are all you have.
